PRECISION VENIPUNCTURE & FLASHBACK CHECK: Smooth venipuncture followed by verification of blood flashback in the flash chamber, advancement of the radiopaque catheter, and gentle tourniquet release.

PATENCY CONFIRMATION & SALINE FLUSH: Connection of an extension line or injection port followed by a sterile normal saline flush to confirm line patency and rule out localized extravasation or hematoma.

SECURE OCCLUSIVE DRESSING & DATING: Anchoring the cannula with sterile transparent film dressing (e.g., Tegaderm) with written date and time stamps for infection surveillance and tracking indwelling longevity.
